Take a stroll on the promenade, a level walkway (suitable for pushchairs & wheelchairs) along the edge of Morecambe Bay , with it's delightful gardens, wonderful wildlife and stunning views across the bay. Relax at one of the cafes or for the more adventurous use the Gym Equipment. During the summer months visit the Recreation Ground to play tennis or putting or table tennis. Have you tried the Crazy Golf? There's a skate park and children's playground too.

See the ducks on the pond in the Ornamental Gardens, visit Park Road Gardens with it's bandstand (summer season of band concerts on a Sunday) and Sensory Garden. If you like shopping take a look at our unique and award winning shops. Treat yourself to lunch or afternoon tea in one of our many cafes and tea rooms. For the more adventurous, take a walk to the top of Hampsfell for the 360 panoramic view.

Located on the edge of the Lake District National Park, just a stone’s throw from Morecambe Bay, Cartmel is a pretty village with a vibrant feel. With excellent views over Morecambe Bay, this limestone promontory has an unusual assemblage of plants and interesting geological exposures. Great place for watching birds on the estuary.
